Mo365: Best Pictures of Hungary on the Magic Wall

Writer's picture: Dora SzigetiDora Szigeti

The best photos of Hungary were selected from thousands of images in the Hungary 365 competition, the winners of which were announced at a prestigious event in December. Back and Rosta's digital, interactive video display, the Magic Wall was there to enhance visitor's experience.

Launched for the first time in 2019, the photo competition aims to showcase Hungary's natural and cultural heritage through the country's best photographers with a unique vision. The main organisers also hope that a high-quality presentation of our pride can contribute to the development of Hungarian visual culture.

The event was held in the elegant Millenáris Park in Buda and featured our popular interactive digital display, the Magic Wall. As intended by our partner-organizers, we made the best 300 images selected from thousands of entries available on a video wall made up of 6 units of 55-inch monitors.

Hundreds of visitors to the event were able to view an analogue exhibition of the award-winning photos on the first floor of the event hall. Those who were interested in the other competition-participants, were able to admire the stunning images from the various categories in an interactive and playful way on the Magic Wall, located in a prominent area on the ground floor.

The digital display, which attracted the attention of the public with spectacular effects, not only allowed the artists to showcase their entry-images, but also to showcase their previous work. Visitors could access information on the Magic Wall's interactive touchscreen video wall. A QR code downloader was also available to help.

The organisers and Back and Rosta Ltd. had previously agreed on the content to be displayed on the Magic Wall digital platform rented for the event. Accordingly, in addition to the photos, the names and contact details of the creators of the images were included, as well as the title of the entry and the location where it was created. In addition, the QR code could be used to navigate directly to the photographer's webshop.

This year's competition was divided into six categories - nature, landscape, architecture, culture, sport and life. A total of 43,000 entries were received. The best selection of entries will be published in the form of a photo album this year. In addition, the Hungary 365 online gallery, where hundreds of photos can be viewed and purchased, will be available digitally. Our interactive display was also a great way to promote this at the prestigious event.
